About MoneyTree

MoneyTree Financial Services Limited (FSP702531, trading as MoneyTree) is a Financial Advice Provider (FAP) licensed and regulated by the Financial Markets Authority to provide financial advice.

MoneyTree was founded in 2010. Regan Thomas is the founder and managing director of the company. Shareholders in the company are Regan Thomas and Jamie Thomas. MoneyTree provides advice to our clients about their mortgage, life, disability and health insurances, fire and general insurance, and KiwiSaver.

Our financial advisers provide financial advice in relation to KiwiSaver, home mortgages, life insurance and health insurance.

We only provide financial advice about products from certain providers:

  • For mortgages, we work with AIA Home Loans.
  • For life and disability insurance, we work with five companies – AIA, Asteron Life, Chubb Life, Fidelity Life, and Partners Life.
  • For health insurance, we work with four companies – Accuro, AIA, NIB, and Partners Life.
  • For KiwiSaver we use Booster and Generate

Our duties and obligations to you

MoneyTree and its Financial Advisers are bound by the duties of the Financial Markets Conduct Act (in particular the Financial Services Legislation Amendment Act 2019 sections 431I, 431K, 431L and 431M) to:

  • Meet the standards of competence, knowledge and skill set out in the Code of Conduct
  • Give priority to the clients’ interest and
  • Exercise care, diligence and skill and
  • Meet the standards of ethical behaviour, conduct, and client care set out in the Code of Conduct.
